Translator’s Notes:

I’m currently procrastinating and decided to translate a song request by Shayahe. She/he asked me to translate an ancient Chinese themed song, written for 溯痕 Su Hen’s novel/story《遇蛇》“Snake Encounter.” It’s apparently a very sad BL/yaoi/shoenai story. And based on what I’ve gleamed from the MV, the lyrics, as well as the comments, it’s something I probably usually steer clear from, since it’s so sad. Nonetheless, here is the lyric translation! You can go and read the story if you are intrigued by the song, but unfortunately I won’t be able to provide the translation for that. If you liked the melody, it is actually borrowed from a Vocaloid song called Yume to Hazakura 梦と叶桜, and I quite enjoyed it.

I’m kinda happy with how this translation turned out but isn’t 100% satisfied. So maybe the next time you see this page the translation will have been altered. But no promises. We’ll see how things turn out. 😉
